These oxidised stud earrings were originally created on a 3D modelling program. Made in solid sterling silver, the inner surfaces are oxidised to a smoky black, with striking polished edges. Their form makes them almost impossible to create by hand alone. Studs are available in two sizes – Mini (8mm) and Midi (10mm).
Earring posts are individually hardened for extra strength and durability.
Processing time
Each pair of Negative/Positive stud earrings is made to order. Please allow 3 to 5 working days (excluding shipping) for them to be created.

Negative/Positive two-tone 3D print stud earrings
Part of our debut collection, these oxidised sterling silver studs were created on a computer and brought to life through a 3D printing process. While seemingly precise, each design in the Negative/Positive range is the result of experimentation, guesswork and a sprinkling of luck.
Caring for your earrings
Keep the edges bright by cleaning them gently with a soft silver polishing cloth, being careful not to touch the oxidised inner surfaces. Please note that oxidisation is a surface treatment and may fade with wear. Do not use chemical cleaning solutions.

My first piece from Fairina was the Negative/Positive 3D printed ring and I was drawn to the composition of the piece as soon as I saw it in 2009. I made a request to have a darker finish and Fairina happily oxidised it for me. Now I have two pairs of Negative/Positive 3D printed earrings, Paper Plane studs and the Fractured ring. I am very much looking forward to having Fairina customise a piece for me one day.

I’ve been meaning to buy these studs for some time but thought I should treat myself for mothers day! Fairina was amazing to deal with and had the order shipped to me the next day. The earrings are great! It’s a simple but really unique design, very pretty, comfortable (which is important cos I seem to be sensitive to lots of metal studs) and versatile so I can wear them almost anywhere.
